Fernando Jaramillo is a Grammy Award-winning drummer with more than 35 years of
professional experience. He began playing drums at the age of nine and has built an international
career spanning touring, recording, education, and session work.
Throughout his career, Fernando has performed and recorded with renowned artists including
Nick Carter, Beto Cuevas, Engelbert Humperdinck, Kamran & Hooman, Exsimio, Ready Never,
and many others.
Fernando began his professional career with the Chilean rock band Alter Ego (1990–1997),
touring extensively throughout Chile. The band's debut album was distributed by Sony Music
Chile, helping establish Fernando as one of the country's emerging rock drummers.
In 1998, he joined the acclaimed Chilean progressive rock band Exsimio, recording multiple
albums and appearing in several music videos. Their debut album received international
distribution through Musea Records, Mylodon Records, and Lizard Records in 2001. With
Exsimio, Fernando toured Europe in 2002 and performed at prestigious progressive rock
festivals, including the BajaProg in Mexico, RotaProg in Spain, and additional festival
appearances in Brazil.
After relocating to Los Angeles in 2007, Fernando expanded his career as an in-demand session
and touring drummer. His credits include performances and recordings with Grammy-winning
artist Beto Cuevas, Grammy-nominated jazz pianist Don Grusin, the Boston String Quartet,
All-4-One, and numerous other internationally recognized artists.

Today, Fernando continues to work internationally as a touring musician, session drummer, and
recording artist from his professional studio in Southern California.
